Walls as inspiration

With the recent move, life is a bit chaotic. So many projects started but nothing is finished. So I decided that it was time I at least got one room a step towards looking like an actual room rather than a dump heap.

This room already had a dark blue wall. Our second floor is a 1/2 story so we have lots of slanting walls. This rooms white color selection on the slanting parts worked quite well since it gives the illusion that the ceilings are higher. I opted to use the blue as my inspiration.

I love the vibrant look of blue and green and since spray paint was on sale I loaded up on the lime green and went to town on the crib.

The dark blue wall is what inspired me with my colors. We had a train table that didn't have a spot in our home. So I chose to go with trains, planes and automobile inspiration

We had some little wooden crates that I painted and stained. Using some wooden circles and some black buttons for wheels. I chose to use stain on some of the cars to bring some warmth and a different texture to the room.

I think I'll be making a wooden curtain rod and using a large gray and white stripe to bring another texture to the room. I just ordered some little wooden model planes to paint and hang from the ceiling. Pictures coming soon.
